Graham Anthony – Original Review

Note: This review is from 2002

Review by Steve Bennett

Anthony sleepwalks his way through the gamut of comedy cliches in this tired and derivative act.

He usually goes down OK - but not great - simply by pressing the right buttons. But there's no creativity at play.

Checking off the well-worn references from Stand-Up For Dummies, he starts of by talking about his looks (young) before moving onto a reassuringly familiar pun or two, the occassional gratuitous cock comment, and a tedious tract of weed-smoking stuff.

There is a very occasional good gag, but hidden among lines so tired you'll swear you've heard them before, even if you haven't. Patchy at best.
