I saw the Fluffy Brothers at Reading's Jongleurs last Friday. These guys are just uncategorisable. They go from old-fashioned storytelling (one narrates, the other performs) of tales of bouncer spotting in the 'Urban Jungle', of the man who fell in love with himself and went on a date, to a bizarre and surreal biscuit-eating ninja duel (don't ask). The show was polished yet fresh and the brothers worked off each other tightly and intuitively. They often gave you that refreshing sense that these were just two blokes enjoying fooling around on stage without actually taking the comedy too seriously, or trying to act up to a certain genre. These guys really have to be seen to understand what they do. And even then you probably won't understand what they do. It feels like they have said to themselves, if its funny, then it goes in the show. And that works for me.

Very funny, but also the same act over and over. Ive seen them at Reading Jongleurs twice and they had the same act each time. Mikey you moaney git! You've only seen us twice and your complaining that we did the same set. Some acts have been doing the same set for donkey's years. Anyway, don't despair, the Fluffy Brothers will be unleashing some new material shorty. So quit your moaning you granny! Peter and Paul 02.07.03
