Awful. Like a Kwik-Fit manager telling a succession of toilet-wall scrawlings to his garage floor. The comedy equivalent of a cowboy plumber.

Utter pish. I sat through the first half of his drivel at the Aleva casino glasgow. He has no impact and has zero comeback when heckled. I had nightmares for a week after watching this crap. Honestly - The worst comedian I have ever set my ears upon.

Lowest common denominator bullshit. No wonder people think ALL Glaswegians are just angry simpletons that think swearing is the only way to get laughs. I'm not saying that swearing is not funny, but good comedians will use it in moderation and to boost the impact of a joke. Instead he just swears through clearly made-up and boring "true stories" because he can't come up with any intelligent material. But hey, at least it pays the bills, right Des? But just remember that you're doing nothing for stand-up comedy and you'll never be one of the best, you're just like any average guy down the pub who uses sweary catchphrases to mask your lack of wit.

Simply one of the funniest comedians I have ever seen. Had audiences pissing themselves at The Stand. Totally owns the stage, know exactly what he is doing and performs evry comic trick in the book to amazing effect - you get it all with Des. Sets up a joke perfectly, delivers the punchline and then squeezes every last inch of laughter out of it as if he was wringing a cloth. When you see audience members unable to recover from laughing at one joke to laugh at the next you know you are seeing something special. One of those comics you see and then examine your own act and think why even bother. Easily my favourite comedian playing the Scottish circuit.
