Colin Owens first tried comedy in March 2005, after his wife and mother brought him a place on a comedy course for a Christmas gift.

With just a few gigs to his name he won a Comedy Idol talent contest run by Jimmy Carr as an extra on one of his stand-up DVDs, and got to appear at Bloomsbury Theatre, as Carr's support act.

In 2006, he was part of the Big Value Comedy line-up at the Edinburgh Fringe

Saw Colin compere at the Wedgewood rooms in Southsea. His energy and enthusiasm really got the crowd going and made for an excellent night's comedy. Crackin stuff.
