Utter tosh! Saw him on a bill with Tom wrigglesworth to whom he couldn't hold a candle. Barely raised a smile at his poor attempts at humour, proliferation of swear words and repetition of the MC's act. Not really worthy of headline status. One to avoid

Man, this guy is lame.
Rosie - 03/05/2012
Brian was brilliant at Ashby tonight. Had us in stitches!
Ken Normal - 30/03/2012
Brian was excellent at The Cotswold Comedy Club in Chipping Norton last night. Making most of the social divide (David Cameron is the local MP) Brian mercilessly (and hilariously) laid into the upper middle class audience yet somehow kept them on-side. Loved him to bits.

Saw you for the 3rd time in as many years at Leighton Buzzard and I would see you again and again. Entices the audience into his world and then picks you up by the scruff of your neck. Very skilled, funny and clever. Thanks for (another) great show.
Jo Stuart - 03/11/2011
Saw Brian in MK at The Greene Room and he had the crowd in fits. Last act and he was worth the wait. Went home on that high of having had a fab night. Look forward to seeing Brian again.

Well, I don't consider myself a risk-averse booker, but I do like to book funny acts and Brian is just that. He opened at my club and absolutely smashed it. He had them from the get-go with a mixture of riffing and material. Personally I can't see what's wrong with portraying a level of professionalism, as Brian does indeed do. Because he is a professional. A funny one...and eminently bookable.

Saw Brian for the first time tonight here in Rotherham. I got the impression he was a little cagey and held back some of his material although he did some lesbian jokes at first and used the C bomb, but seemed to back off. Overall though he's a very natural, very funny man, and at times he bordered on the quite sophisticated humour, which clearly isn't the mainstay of his act. Would see again tomorrow night and the night after. Very good.

Saw Brian for the first time last night in Monmouth and I thought he was great. Well worth getting to see him if you can.He knows how to play with the audience.
Steve - 17/01/2010
Saw Brian at Leicester last night, bit of a slow night until Brian came on - absolute genius. Knows what the crowd wants and gives it to them in piles. Will look out for him again.
Lorraine - 28/03/2009
Was persuaded to venture out on a 'school night' and was so glad I did - Brian was hilariously funny and had the crowd in stitches. Great man making it a great night out.

Saw Brian at City Limits in Milton Keynes last night and he was soooo funny! What an act, soooo funny! Talk about hit the nail on the head! I would go and watch him again and thoroughly recommend a night out if he is on near you!

I want to post a review on Brian Higgins, he has really upset me, I saw him Friday night in Bracknell, upon checking the mirror this morning I now have more pronounced laughter lines than ever before, I laughed so much I could have wet myself, if I go to see him again I may wear Tena pads, the night was brilliant, the other comedians were OK but Brian tore the place apart, there were 5 of us in the car on the way home and we all kept regurgitating his lines, Funny, Brilliant, clever and a Friday night that will be remembered, Thanks Brian...
Gordon Kent - 23/06/2008
Fast, frantic, frenetic and very very funny - a pro.
Deane - 22/04/2008
Saw Brian live, my god I nearly wet myself, a brave man with his witty references to pregnancy but worked the crowed with his material, which is excellent. Funny guy
Alison Jackson - 16/03/2008
This is the first time I have seen Brian Higgins live and I just didn't stop laughing. On the way home I kept having a giggle to myself. His set, revolving around the familiar 'me and the missus' format, was both fresh and hilarious and so true to life. Brian's highly detailed comedy fills the head with images that just won't go away.
Steven Munn - 01/03/2008
I saw Brian Higgins live for the first time this week, and gave myself a stonker of a headache laughing so much. His set, revolving around the familiar 'me and the missus' format, was both fresh and hilarious. Brian's highly descriptive comedy fills the head with mental images that just won't come out.
Phil Banks - 08/08/2007
Brian is fast, funny, entertaining, topical and a real gutbuster. Id go and see him again anytime. Also he makes time for his audience after the show by chatting to them like old friends.
Sheena - 06/03/2007
Had a great evening at the Thistle Hotel in Luton last week. Brian especially was very entertaining and made me cry with laughter. Not laughed like that for ages. Had a great time would definitely go and see him again.
Amanda - 24/02/2007
Saw Brian at the Luton Thistle Hotel. Excellent night. Very very funny. Highly recommended, will go and see him again anytime.
Claire - 20/12/2006
Really funny, had a great night highly recommended
Lisa - 20/12/2006
Went to see Brian in Comedy club in Milton Keynes, laughed so hard my sides hurt. Fantastic comedian would go to see him again.
Daz - 01/10/2006
A tired, lazy, unfunny, weak, abusive, and plain crap "comedian" who thinks he can get away with sub-sixth-form 'life-observation' routines by rolling out the tired old "I've had it really hard, you know line. I'll never get that 26 minutes of my life back, a complete waste of time and money. In my opinion, of course.
Gail - 28/11/2005
Boring individual who looks for cheep laughs at the crowds' expense. why pay to see him when you could get a better laugh plucking you eyelashes?
Windz - 10/11/2005
Higgy has always been one of the comics I most enjoy and his performance last week in Bristol was really fantastic! His changes in pace, and mixture of ad lib and using parts of his fantastic set was a joy to see.
Brenda Harris - 21/09/2005
I recently saw Brian at Broxbourne Civic Hall, He really made me laugh, a funny man, had a fantastic evening and would highly recommend
Paul A Chambers - 14/09/2005
An excellent performance that left me with tears in my eyes from laughing so damn much. One to see
Clare Mercer - 14/09/2005
Go to a show, see this man, and laugh until you cry! A must for true comedy fans
Jerry - 21/08/2005
Saw Brian Higgins at the Comedy Cafe - he was the headline act but without doubt the worst comedian I have seen for a long time. But, if you find it funny when comedians resort to calling people in the crowd 'gay' for a cheap laugh, then you'll love him.
Darren James - 03/12/2004
This guy needs to go back to comedy school (thats if he ever went in the first place). Saw him at Chambers in Jersey..died on his arse
Kerry - 08/03/2004
Brian recently performed in our club The1Nitestand in Singapore and he tore the room apart. Great comic, great performer. We'll have him back.
Steve Burnham - 09/07/2003
A very clever, funny man. His immediate presence on the stage created laughter his humour was very topical. I would strongly recommend Brian to anyone. Enjoy laughing with and at him
John - 10/01/2003
Have seen Brian perform a few times and have always found him hilarious. He varies his routine every performance and manages to lift the entire crowd through his enthusiasm and energy. A great comedian with the ability to make everyone laugh out loud. He really gives it his all on stage and the crowd always respond to his bizarre approach. Can't wait to see him again.
Jo Green - 20/09/2002
Quite simply a funny funny man.
Elaine - 17/09/2002
Excellent entertainment, he's without a doubt comical.
Mark Duncan - 30/01/2002
I have seen Brian Higgins on many occasions at various venues, where other acts have been mediocre and at times embarrassing. He has lifted and inspired the paying audience, he is spontaneous and very funny, the stereotypical "ginger" humour can hardly be carried off by Lee Evans. The man should be applauded for allowing the world to laugh at him as well as with him, he may well be passed over at present but that will be a very unjust situation if he fails to rise any further.
