All style and precious little substance. He wins you over 'cause he's such a dude - it's only later you realise you can't remember a single quip. But when you're there you get so carried away it doesn't matter! Michael Monkhouse, March 2008 |
Saw Brendan last night for a special Liverpool comedy festival at Radio Merseyside, he went down really well and the audience loved him. Seen him loads over the years hes brill Ste, May 2007 |
A really good act which has some of the best audience interaction around. Tony, September 2006 |
Sorry, don't agree with the rave reviews. Saw him in galway last week and his act was too predictable compared to the MC Neil Delamere who easily stole the show. Probably ok for students but if you couldn't get shocked by his jokes there was not enough there for me. Peter, August 2006 |
Legend. Enough said Andy, May 2006 |
Brendan Riley is brilliant - he's "scouse humour" BUT avoids the usual cliches of "Ey mate, you local? Wirral? Then FUCK OFF". Intelligent scouse humour if you will. If he's on the bill then you know you're up for a good night Leo Edwards, August 2005 |
Not really that funny. Think he'd make a good redcoat. Appeals to student types who think he's a bit on the "edge". Ronnie Thomas, April 2005 |
A top act, one of the best Student Union comedy nights we have had in a while Jo Stack, March 2005 |
