New podcast for Adam Rowe

Have A Word founder launches a new format

He rewrote the rules of the comedy industry with the Have A Word podcast. Now stand-up Adam Rowe is launching a new podcast with media giant Global, in which he will ask guests to discuss moral dilemmas.

Those lined up to appear on What Would You Do? include fellow comedians Max Fosh, Ola Labib, Thomas Green and Joe Sutherland.

Producers say that each week the panel will look at the ‘wackiest, juiciest gossip stories from nanny-cam nightmares to polyamorous potentials’.

Each episode features two guests and starts with a ‘morality test’ to determine who is the angel in the group, and who is the bad egg. The trio will then take on the bizarre anecdote of the week, and each share how they would face the dilemma in hand.

Rowe said: ‘What Would You Do is such an exciting and easily listenable new format. I think it’s going to be so popular once people find it and I’m really excited to see where we can take the show.’

He started the Have A Word podcast with Dan Nightingale in early 2020, and currently boasts more than 25,000 fans on Patreon, each paying between £3 and £10 a month.

The show has racked up millions of views and listeners, and boosted the live careers of not just the hosts but the regular guests. Last year, they staged a successful gig at the 11,000-capacity M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

Chortle Award-winning Rowe has also appeared on Live At The Apollo and has self-produced three full-length stand-up specials Club Comic, Imperious and Juicy.

What Would You Do? with Adam Rowe will be available on Global Player and all major podcast providers every Thursday from October 26.
