From svelte Andy Bell lookalike to old raddled club comedian! The last 4 years have not been kind to Adam Crow as he settles for bog-standard Mr Stag Night comedian! Forget the self pity Mr Crow, just use that brain you've been given. If you can't be arsed why should we? Go to a Nick Wilty gig and just listen for 5 minutes - please. Perhaps then, you will be ashamed of your recent "gig" at the City Limits in Milton Keynes.

Stephen Hobbs, May 2008

Adam is a very dependable comic, dependable to make audiences laugh, what more can one say

I've seen Adam Crow twice now and after reading the post that the comedian has posted himself, I must say that he has really taken it onboard. Last time I saw him he was good act, mainly due to the best response to a heckler I've ever heard who stood up mid show and started questioning him on his sexist jokes. Last nite back at Reading jongleurs he was fantastic all new material and great banter really good compere, would like to see him do a 20 minute slot though, Good act.

Just wanted to say thanks to all of the comics and promotors that sent the get well txts recently when I had the heart attack. Wow! Really weird how the comedy community gets together when one of our soliders fall. It was a minor one and I'm fine. And to all, if you get a numb left arm and your GP tells you it's a trapped nerve - get a second opinion. Hey and if nothing else I got some new material out of it!

Played our Uni (Notts), brilliant - took a piece of crap art off the wall and did a B & Q sketch about it. I'm now a fan of the crow man!

Saw Adam Crowe in Bristol at Jester, really dark and a little bit wrong - but bloody funny.

That's a fantastic attitude. Best of luck to you Adam.

Reviews are strange things - over the last five years I\ve picked up excellent reviews from stirling publications such as the Scotland on Sunday and Time Out - yet to be honest, they were acredited three or four years ago. The comments in this artcle on my delivery, timing and quality of 'some' my materal are flattering yet the overal feel of the piece is that I am lazy as a comic and do not bother streatching myself? At first I felt a little dejected about this, pissed off in fact. Then suprisingly, as I dug deeper I had to concure with the comments. I have become lazy - I can pull off a great show, I encore perhaps a one in ten ratio. But I really have not challanged an audience in a while - not as many acts do and I believe I used to. I have become safe within my show, I throw dark and slightly off colour material into the mix, but to be honest this is stuff tried and tested over the last couple of years. In short what I am saying is that I needed a kick up the bum and this review may have done just that. I have never really put much stock in the opinion of critics, however on this occasion I must say Chortle seems to have hit it bang on the mark - in fact they have echoed the advice my friend Sean Collins gave me about a year ago. In closing I'd like to say that it is time I took a few chances - even if it sees me bumped back to the open mic circuit. Other than sex, no one should play safe.
