London-based Sparkle Productions has been set up by Caroline Edwards to match brands with comedy events.
The new company, which aims to ‘bring branded comedy to life’, offers expertise in media consultancy, sponsorship and production.
Edwards’s track record includes delivering bespoke comedy-based campaigns for such leading brands as O2, Masterfoods and Nivea For Men.
For the past two years, she has run the comedy department at the independent media company USP Group, where she has met a growing demand for branded comedy events.
She said: ‘As a relatively untapped area, comedy is proving a very exciting place for brands to deliver original marketing initiatives, which achieve both cut-through and consumer engagement.
‘Comedy is associated with cool, maverick entertainment, and is the perfect vehicle for brands to find hard-to-reach audiences. Everyone likes laughing – so what better way to connect brand and consumer than through comedy.’
